Capital Reserve Campaign Reaches $2 Million Goal

Barrington’s White House and the Friends of Barrington’s White House are excited to report that we have reached our $2 million goal in gifts and pledges from 100 donors. Each donor has made it a priority to ensure that our original $7 million private investment in the house is well cared for, for the next generation.

It is important to reiterate that all of the donations will be restricted in the dedicated Capital Reserve Fund. The Fund is overseen by the Friends of BWH Board of Directors: David Nelson, Tim Romenesko, and Patrick Galley. These seasoned investment professionals are committed to protecting and nurturing the Capital Reserve Fund. The White House is now from an operating standpoint a self-supporting Cultural and Community Center benefiting the entire Barrington area. The operating costs to run the building are covered by a combination of support from event rentals, non-profit office rentals, ticket sales, donations, as well as appropriate financial and in-kind support from the Village of Barrington.

Please consider making a donation; this allows your gift to make an immediate impact.
